New Dog Food, Discounts, & 44 Cat Adoptions Total!

7/25/2011. We're currently carrying a new dog food brand- WYSONG. It was originally a customer request. We have Synorgon variety- chicken with brown rice. It's natural and ideal for dogs needing limited ingredient diets. Contains: flax seed, Omega 3 fatty acids, "as well as probiotics and enzymes common to all Wysong natural pet foods."

By the way, did you know that currently if you spend $65 in one trip we'll give you 10% off your next purchase? Plus we have a case discount for wet foods: buy 12 or more and get 5% off (you can mix and match brands, varieties, and sizes.)

In kitty news: Stanley's hu-mom stopped in for cat food and let us know he is doing very well and getting big quickly! We also saw Sugar's mom and she said Sugar is "the perfect cat." Our new total is 44 cats adopted. We love having them here and we're so pleased to see them go to loving, forever homes.

Jaxx and Ellies' Favs and Starskey Update

7/23/2011
A common customer question is "What's the best food?" We like to say that there is no one best food, or that's all we'd carry.

We can, however, tell you what the shop dogs eat. Mark, NPM Eugene's owner, feeds the other owners, Ellie and Jaxx, Natural Plant Organics, Evanger's Pheasant and Rice, and as a change of pace for summer: Nature's Variety Raw Food.

You're welcome to come in and pet these two soon. Belly rubs are often requested- by Jaxx! Sometimes they do take a well deserved break and go home mid-day. By the way, Jaxx is the fuzzy white guy and Ellie is the golden mix.

Also we're excited to report that Starskey, one of the kittens, has been adopted. His new name is "Ichi" and he is going to live with another sweet kitty. Starskey has cerebellar hypoplasia and since it can sometimes take animals with disabilities quite some time to get adopted, we were happy he was snatched up first! Better yet, his new hu-mom has a friend whose cat also has cerebellar hypoplasia so she's familiar with it. Now Raven (the elegant black female kitten) and Hutch (the big handsome striped boy), Starkey's siblings, and momma Roxy and Millie are still available for excellent adopters!

More on our current Kitten & Cat adoptables!

Mama Cat Roxy
(approx 2 years old) is a beautiful Siamese. She is very sweet with her babies, but as they get adopted she will surely be happy to go to her forever home. She seems to want attention, but is hanging back a bit while still watching over her kittens. Her 3 kittens are out and about and enjoying play fighting and jumping all over our little cattery! Cute, cute, cute.

And here's another picture of sweet Millie (the yawning grey and white kitty, about 4-6 mnths old). She is getting used to the new feline residents and is lovely as always.

Speaking of cats and kittens we have a wide variety of cat litter, so if you're thinking about switching or just need more come by the store. We carry Purrfect Paws (100% natural clay), Swheat scoop (wheat, this is the one we use in our cattery), World's Best Litter (made from whole kernel corn), Milled Grain Litter, Cracked Pine, Feline Pine and others.

Cute & Playful Kittens!

We're excited to get three new kittens who will be available for adoption tomorrow- Saturday 16. Raven, Starskey & Hutch are litter mates born on April 11, 2011. All three are cute as a bug's ear, playful and active. Most importantly, they are all litter-box trained.

Raven is a little black girl kitty, she is the smartest of the bunch.

Starskey is a cute little guy, tabby with four white socks. Starskey has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia or 'CH'. Starskey's CH is very mild, making him a bit uncoordinated. He will never get any better, nor any worse. He has got the most cheerful outlook on life, and runs, plays and keeps up with his littermates. He absolutely must be an indoor only kitty.

Hutch is the big guy of the bunch. He loves to hide and sneak attack his sister and brother. Very cute and playful.

Adoption fee is $75 each. Included in the adoption fee are: Spay or neuter, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, FVRCP vaccination (distemper). Rescued by The Cat's Pajamas- Eugene.

Visit them at the store soon!

Meet Our New Girls. No Really Come Meet Them!

UPDATE: Sugar was adopted! July 15- will be picked up by her people next week.

July, 9 2011

We hope everyone had a fun and safe fourth. With Stanley adopted, we're now up to 42 cats adopted who've stayed in our cattery! We are happy to have join us two sweet female kitties: Millie and Sugar. Millie loves people (is very kid friendly) and is always out waiting to greet customers. She is a talker with a cute little meow. At about 4-6mnths old she'll make a great addition to almost any home. Sugar is also young, between 1-2yrs, and has a beautiful white coat. She comes out for some love anytime someone sits in the cattery and also loves dogs and other cats. Come down and see these two kitties and as a shopper said today: "Purr More, Hiss Less."

While you're in check out our great (and often local) catnip and catnip toys!

These kitties are from The Cat's Pajamas and are spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots.
